About Edison Home Healthcare Agency
Edison-based concierge home care agency built around one promise — when you call us, a senior care coordinator who already knows Edison answers the phone.
Edison Home Healthcare Agency is a Middlesex County home care agency built around one practical promise: when an Edison family calls us, a senior care coordinator who already knows Edison answers the phone. Not an operator forwarding the message. Not a receptionist taking a name. A person who can talk through the situation in five minutes and tell the family what a first week of care could look like.
The agency was built for the families who care most about who actually walks through the door. Adult children of aging parents, post-discharge patients coming home from JFK Medical Center or Robert Wood Johnson, hospital discharge planners coordinating handoffs, and longer-running households where a chronic condition has finally asked for outside help. Concierge-feel without the concierge price tag — the kind of agency where the caregiver who came on Tuesday is the same caregiver who comes next Tuesday.
What we do
Two layers of service sit under everything else. The first is skilled clinical work: nursing visits, post-surgical recovery, IV therapy, wound care, physical and occupational therapy, medication oversight. The second is non-medical home help: companion care, personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, daily routine support. Most plans pull from both. A weekly nursing visit alongside daily companion hours. A post-discharge nursing block alongside personal care for the first month at home. The blend is built around the household's existing rhythm rather than picked off a shelf.

How we work
Every Edison family who calls gets the same first hour: a free in-home assessment by a senior care coordinator. The coordinator walks through the house, listens to the family's story, talks with the older adult when possible, and writes a care plan with you (not for you). There is no contract to sign at the visit and no obligation to start care.
The plan that results is short, specific, and editable. Which services start, on what schedule, and which to revisit in two weeks once the household has lived with the new routine. If the situation calls for skilled clinical work, the plan covers it. If it calls for daily home help, the plan covers that. If it calls for both, the coordinator handles the scheduling so the family does not have to hold two calendars in their head.

Where we work
Inside Edison, our caregivers drive every neighborhood — Roosevelt Park, the Clara Barton section, the Oak Tree Road corridor, North and South Edison, the JFK Medical Center area. Outside Edison, the service radius covers Iselin, Metuchen, Woodbridge, Piscataway, South Plainfield, and Highland Park. The 15-mile reach is built around the hospitals, pharmacies, and senior centers that are part of the everyday Edison healthcare routine.

Why we exist
The home care market in NJ is large and the quality is uneven. Many families end up working with a national franchise whose local office turns over coordinators every few months, or with a small operator who is excellent but cannot answer the phone after 5pm. We built Edison Home Healthcare Agency to occupy the space in between — local enough to know the township, big enough to answer when you call, and serious enough about continuity to keep the same coordinator on the family's account for months at a time. Frequently asked questions
- Where is Edison Home Healthcare Agency based?
- We are based in Edison, NJ. Our service area covers all of Edison and the surrounding Middlesex County towns — Iselin, Metuchen, Woodbridge, Piscataway, South Plainfield, and Highland Park — within a 15-mile radius from the Edison centroid. Local roots are the point of the agency; coordinators and caregivers all know the streets, the hospitals, and the rhythms of the neighborhoods we serve.
- Who answers the phone when I call?
- A senior care coordinator. Not an operator forwarding the call, not a receptionist taking a message. The same coordinator who picks up on the first call typically becomes the family's single point of contact for everything that follows — the in-home assessment, the care plan, the scheduling questions, the inevitable question that comes up at 7pm on a Sunday. Continuity is what makes a plan workable.
- How long does it take to start care?
- For most Edison families, the first visit is arranged within 24 to 48 hours of the first phone call. When a discharge planner at JFK Medical Center calls before the patient leaves the hospital, the window often shrinks to the same day. The first visit is a free in-home assessment that takes about an hour and produces a written care plan you can share with anyone in the family.
- Is the agency licensed?
- Edison Home Healthcare Agency operates within the New Jersey Standards for Licensure of Home Health Agencies (Title 8, Chapter 42) framework administered by the New Jersey Department of Health. Specific accreditations and license-number details, where applicable, are available on request. We will not list a license badge we do not hold or claim a certification we do not carry.
